The Taco Taxi was founded in 2009 after I spent the summer traveling in Peru. The local flavors and street food scene was unparalleled. My desire is to bring the freshness of what I found in Cuzco to the fine streets of Austin. The Taco Taxi is the quintessential “Austin” food cart. Powered by pedals and heated by rechargeable batteries, The Taco Taxi can be found roaming the 6th street area, special events, and catering gigs. We only use all natural and locally grown ingredients to insure the freshest of quick grab comfort foods. We are offering delivery service to select areas. My girlfriend and I are car free and were making a list of all the great things we have discovered. Taco Taxi is one, and the Farmer Market at Amherst is another. I want to help spread this information. Lots of friends I work with drive right by there, but don’t yet know about you!
